It's been a while..

Well, Saylor is now almost 3. She will be in about two weeks. Yeah I know, I've slacked a little. After watching the videos I posted almost two years ago, I cannot believe how much she has grown up. She is potty trained, a little diva, my princess. She's my mini me. It's just amazing to me how fast time goes. Well, it's scary actually.
Lately she gets mad at the dogs for sitting in my lap.
"It's my mommy!" she tells them. Then pushes them off and sits on my lap. Oh boy.
She's so damn cute, I just don't know where she gets it. I am so blessed to be HER mommy.

She Walks!

On March 29, 2013 you started officially walking.

I fed you breakfast, then we were playing in the living room. You suddenly took two steps. Then four. Then six. I got out my phone to record you. I was so proud of you!

You are such a big girl! This morning I was worried you would wake up and forget that you learned how to walk the day before. You didn't, haha. You are still walking and getting better and better at it.

You are my sweet little angel and I am so blessed to have you and to be your mother. I love you so much!

My Big Girl

You turned 1!

I can't believe you are getting so big. You are ALMOST walking, your personality is coming out (and I love it), you are trying to talk, you are just beautiful.

We had a fun "black and hot pink" bday for you. You especially loved your cake...and don't forget all those presents. Daddy has been staying with us up here at Grandma's house since your birthday. He will probably go back home to St. George sometime this week. We are hoping to find a place and live together as a family again soon. Here are some of your birthday pics...

11 months

My sweet sweet baby. You are almost one years old! Can you belive that? Not me. You are growing up so fast and learning so much everyday.

You certainly have your old personality and attituide which I am in love with.
Lately you have learned how to blow air through the gap in your two front teeth. Melts my heart.

Last night I put you down for bed, and 5 minutes later noticed the light in your room turning on and off. I came down to this..



Who could get mad at that? Not this momma. It was a rough night...I had you sleep in my bed which always ends up being a bad idea, but I don't mind. I love holding your hand while you sleep on my face =)

You are so sweet and fun and everyone tells me how cute and beautiful you are. They are right! I wonder all the time how your daddy and I made such a beautiful little girl.
You are close to walking too! We swear you took two steps on Christmas. I keep trying to have you walk while I hold your hands, but you just drop to the floor and take off crawling. You'll get it soon I'm sure.

My Girl

I know things have been hard. Dad and I didn't plan to have this happen to our family. I'm just so grateful for Grandma & Grandpa Hansen letting us live with them, and for your love and happiness you bring to my life. Taking care of you is what gets me through the days and keeps me going. I want you to know I am always trying to keep our family together and make a good life for you.
I talked to my bishop today, and he showed me this song. I've heard it before, but after going through all this...it really hit me. I love you Saylor Ann.

Bathies

My beautiful baby. Oh how I love to give you bathies. When I gave you this particular bath, I thought about how much you mean to me and how blessed I am to have such a sweet girl. Five years ago I couldn't imagine that I would have such a gorgeous little one who I love more than I thought I could love any human being. You are the light of my life and you my dear are the reason I get up every morning, excited for each day to spend with you. Your daddy and I love love love you.

Saylor you are a handfull sometimes. But totally worth it. I was just in the bathroom brushing my teeth and you were in your walker. Suddenly I heard an extended CRASH out in the family room. You kinda wimpered then i came running out to see a confused, excited look on your face. Remind me not to leave this stuff in the basket on the table anymore!

7 Months TODAY

Hello my darling. You are 7 months old today.

Mommy can't believe it...you've grown so fast and time has flown.

You keep us so happy and are so fun.

You have one (sharp) tooth and I believe another is growing in right next to it, on your bottom gum.

You are JUST about to crawl.

You laugh, smile, and get very distracted while trying to drink from your bottle.

You eat baby food about every night- and pretty much the only kind you eat without making the gagging face at first is apples & pears. Rice cereal really makes you gag and I feel like a mean mom for giving it to you- but the doctor says! You also have had beets (worked hard from daddy grown in the garden), carrots, squash (also from our garden), and sweet potatoes.

You are so sooo cute.

 

 



Grandma's Surprise

Last weekend we drove up to Alpine to surprise grandma Hansen. We dropped daddy off with grandpa Jenkins so he could go camping with him and you and I drove the rest of the way to Alpine. We had Chico with us too, but he was a good boy. You were a very good girl on the way up. Daddy and I have figured out that you travel best in the mornings...you hate traveling at night! We stopped at grandma's school to first surprise her because she didn't even know we were coming. She was in tears and took you and showed you off to everyone at her school that she works with. That next day, your great grandma and grandpa came up to see us. They loved seeing us, and great grandpa loves to hold you on his lap. He had a long beard like Santa Clause and you loved to play with it with your hand. Grandma, me, and you then went shopping. I think you already love shopping like your mama...you are always so good to just sit in your car seat the whole time while we shop. That night we were supposed to celebrate my birthday with dinner with aunt Karon and uncle Cameron...but it ended up just being grandma, you, and I. We got Cafe Rio and just ate it at home. There are many times when I feel alone...but I know I have you with me and that makes me feel loved and valued. I think "well I have my baby girl here to be with and that's all that matters". Daddy came back that next day, and you got to see grandpa Jenkins for a while before we went home. Guess what. You slept the WHOLE way home! 4 hours! I was so worried about leaving so late in the evening because I knew you didn't like to travel at night, but it was a blessing that you slept the entire time, then that whole night too. Thanks baby girl. You are getting to be such a good traveler :)

For My Girl

I wanted to start this blog for you to document our lives together as you are a baby. I hope in the future you will be able to read this and get an idea of how you were and what life was like while you are young. Mommy and daddy love you sooo much and you make us very happy. You are the center of our lives and we have been so blessed to be your parents. We know you have been sent to us from Heavenly Father and we are going to do all we can to be the best parents possible to you. Right now you are 6 1/2 months old. You are just learning to crawl and use your voice. You love to roll around all over the floor and scoot in your new walker. You are loved by so many people and everyone just adores you. You just are starting to get your first tooth- it is pretty sharp and you love to run your mouth along various things to make it feel better. You love to feel things and especially grab Chico and the kitties...then you end up with a bundle of hair in your hand, which you almost eat until mommy catches you and cleans it off. 
I love you so much Saylor Ann, and I hope you enjoy reading this blog in the future!
